Strong Defense Has Carried Trojan Girls

The Pleasantville girls’ basketball team has seen their fair share of success to start the 2018 season with a 7-3 record on the resume heading into their final game before the holiday break tomorrow. A big reason for the solid start to the year is the work on the defensive end.

The Trojans have given up just 32 points a game this season ranking third in the West Central Conference, just behind Earlham and Panorama at 31 points a contest. In everyone of their seven wins Pleasantville has held their opponent to less than 50 points and have kept a team under 25 points four different times. Takeaways have been the name of the game, as the Trojans lead the conference in steals with 136 including 48 of them coming from Jordan Dursky.

The Trojans will look to close out the 2018 portion of the season strong tomorrow when they travel to Woodward-Granger. Listen to the girl/boy doubleheader on the KNIA3 Stream starting at 5:45 p.m.
