Not everyone sees Christmas time as a time of joy and peace; for those who have suffered loss, or are facing one or more crises in their lives, the message of the season can ring hollow…but one local church is offering anyone in this situation a chance for respite.
Blue Christmas will run on Wednesday at Celebrate Church in Knoxville; the doors will be open all day long, for anyone seeking help during the holiday season.
Volunteers from the church will be available in prayer teams, offering prayers and spiritual healing for those in need of help. There will also be professional counselors on hand, for those in need of more extensive assistance.
The day culminates in the Blue Christmas service at 7:00 p.m.
