Pella’s wrestlers will host some of the best grapplers in the state today for the annual Bill Van Horn invitational.
Head Coach Bryant Hancock tells KRLS Sports they will welcome nearly two dozen ranked wrestlers to the floor — a challenge the upstart Dutch are looking forward to meeting.
“It ends up being a pretty tough tournament,” he says, which includes state contender Norwalk and several other tough teams from the region.
Pella is 2-1 in dual meets so far this season, and have two top-four finishes in their weekend invitationals so far. Matches start at 10 a.m. today.
