Trojans to Tangle with Lions of Des Moines Christian

The Pleasantville Trojans will make a road trip to Urbandale tonight for a girl boy basketball doubleheader as they take on the Des Moines Christian Lions.

On the girls side a pair of 5-2 teams will battle it out on the hardwood with Pleasantville attempting to start their second winning streak of the season while also hoping to stop the Lions current win streak who have won 5 straight after starting the season 0-2. On the boys side the Trojans will also look to stop the current hot streak of the Lions who are 5-1 on the year with the lone loss coming to Earlham by 7 a team the Trojans fell to by 13. The Trojans looking for a second straight win in their first year in the West Central Conference will need an offensive explosion in tonight’s matchup as the Trojans who average just over 57 points per game will be taking on a Lions squad who puts up over 72 points per contest. Tonight’s doubleheader will get tipped off with the girls game first at 6 p.m. inside the Des Moines Christian high school gym.
