The Indianola boys basketball team traveled to Bondurant Tuesday night, taking down the Bluejays comfortably 73-42.
The Indians had plenty of star power from their two leadings scorers in the contest, with Evan Gauger leading the team with 25 points and Quinn Vesey ended with 24. Indians head coach Brett Watson tells KNIA Sports he knows that those two can score with the best of them, but it was on the other end of the court that they really impressed
“I was most proud that they led our defensive charge. We were able to get a lot of things in transition in the second and third quarter because of our defense and them really buying in on the defensive end and getting back. I think we are really good when we can do that.”
The Indians improve to 3-1 on the season, and will next play at Pella Christian on Friday night.
