IMPACT Working to Serve Low-Income Families

IMPACT Community Action Partnership works to eliminate poverty through empowering vulnerable populations, building collaborations, and advocating for social change, and has an office on the square in downtown Indianola.

IMPACT serves Warren and Marion County, as well as Boone, Jasper, and Polk, assisting low-income families in meeting their basic needs such as food, utility bills, or personal-hygiene. Patty Sneddon Kisting with IMPACT tells KNIA News oftentimes families who need help were put in a situation beyond their control.

“A lot of families are just one medical bill from being at the poverty line, or a job loss. Poverty has many faces, and it could be me, you, or anyone can experience it at any times in their life and that is why we have programs like these to help people in their time of need.”

Sneddon Kisting also urges that if you need help, to schedule an appointment with the office.
