Pella used the momentum of the lighter weights to jump out to a big lead over Knoxville and defeat the Panthers in the Red Rock Rivalry Wrestling Meet last night 57-24. The Little Dutch were up 18-0 over the Panthers with wins by Logan Schroeder, Quinn Rhamy, and Ryan Hancock. Knoxville’s Gabe Gordon finally put Knoxville on the board with a pin. However, Pella would put the match out of reach by winning five of the next six bouts by the maximum six points. Other Little Dutch winners included, Aiden Pollock, Ryan Van Donselaar, Ben Hones, Denzel Poulter, Ben Nelson, Braydon Peterson, and Tyler Vandermolen. Along with Gordon, Knoxville picked up wins from Jax Bellon, Ben Brewster and Coby Meyer. Knoxville will host its own invitational on Saturday while Pella will travel to the Saydel Invitational.
