Next week, kids in Pella will get to shop for Christmas gifts with local first responders in the second annual Holiday Heroes Program.
Pella Police Department Lt. Paul Haase tells KRLS News officers are partnering with the Pella Fire Department and Schuring and Uitermarkt to make the holidays a bit happier for 30 families selected by counselors from the Pella Community School District. Haase says several local businesses and volunteers are contributing to the effort, with the event taking place on December 11th.
