Pella City Council Advances Several Zoning Changes Tuesday

The Pella City Council held three public hearings dealing with zoning changes at their meeting Tuesday evening.

A resolution annexing land owned by RDP Holdings was approved, which includes over 160 acres north of the intersection of Highway T-15 and G-28, as were the first reading of two ordinances, one changing land from commercial to institutional for the new location of Second Christian Reformed Church on Oskaloosa STreet, and the other to change Heavy Industrial Land to Commercial Zoning for Brumark Properties.

Additionally, council awarded a contract for the 2018 sidewalk repair project for $39,000 to TK Concrete, set a public hearing date to vacate an alley at the proposed site of the Webster Park housing development on December 18th, and approved an engineering services agreement with Fox Engineering for the Wastewater Treatment Plant improvements.
