No injuries are reported from a fire in a mobile home in Knoxville on Tuesday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to Wheel Estates on South Lincoln Street just before noon; the residents inside were able to get out, and it was put out before it could spread.
Knoxville Fire Chief Cal Wyman tells KNIA/KRLS News it was an electrical fire confined to a small area.
“We just had a small fire inside the wall around an outlet; kind of opened it up, (and) extinguished it,” Wyman says. “Pretty small fire, pretty lucky that they got to it when they did.”
Wyman says the electricity had to be cut off, and some repair work will be necessary, but the home should be habitable.
