Committee assignments for the 88th General Assembly of Iowa Legislature have been released for the Republican majority.
Senator Julian B. Garrett of District 13 will be chairing the justice systems committee, and serving on the appropriations, human resources, judiciary, local government, and interstate cooperation committees. Representative Stan Gustafson of House District 25 will be vice-chair of the veterans affairs committee. The Iowa House Democrats have not released committee assignments, but Scott Ourth of House District 26 has previously served on the agriculture, commerce, transportation, and natural resources committees.
