All area high schools and colleges participated in the Iowa High School Dance Team Championships, at Wells Fargo Arena and Hy-Vee Hall in Des Moines Thursday and Friday.

Knoxville: 3rd Place Class II Lyrical, 5th Place Class X Pom, Division I Superior Class V Jazz
Pella: 2nd Place Large School Military, 3rd Place Class XI Pom, Division I Superior Class III Kick
Pella Christian: 4th Place Pom Class VII, Division I Superior Class III Jazz
Indianola: 8th Place Class XII Pom, 9th Place Class VI Jazz, 7th Place Class III Lyrical.
Pleasantville: First Place Color Guard Class I, First Place Novelty Class II, 2nd Place Pom Class VI
Melcher-Dallas: Division I Superior Hip Hop Class I
Twin Cedars: 2nd Place Class I Jazz, 4th Place Pom Class I, Division I Superior Class I Hip Hop
PCM: 2nd Place Class XI Pom, 4th Place Class IV Hip Hop, 3rd Place Class II Novelty
Central College: Division III state champions, 1st place Division III Hiphop and Pom, 2nd place Jazz
Simpson: 1st Place Division III Jazz, 2nd Place Division III Hip Hop, 2nd Place Division III Pom.
