Despite dreary conditions from rain and fog through much of the day, residents and visitors alike celebrated the Christmas season in Pella Saturday with several events locally.
While he didn’t get to march in his parade, Sinterklaas met with children at Scholte Church, as did the 2019 Tulip Queen Olivia Vander Leest and her royal court of Mary Kate Bandstra, Isabella Baugh, Camryn Huyser, and Emily Schreur.
The Pella Opera House wrapped up their festival of trees; Events Coordinator Lindsey Phillips tells KRLS News they saw big crowds again during the Tour of Homes, with proceeds from donations benefiting youth programming in the upcoming season.
Pella Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Jill Vandevoort says the 56th annual Tour of Homes was again a success, with hundreds of visitors and residents visiting four local homes decorated for the holidays.
