For the second year in a row, the City of Indianola has received the Government Finance Officers Association Distinguished Budget Presentation Award.
In order to receive the budget award, the city had to satisfy recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation and was judged on the factors of the budget being a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide, and a communications device. There are over 1,600 participants in the Budget Awards Program nationwide.
