Thanksgiving weekend saw the first wave of serious Christmas decorators working on their homes; and some outdoor displays could net the homeowners prizes from the Knoxville Federated Garden Club.
The club is holding its Christmas lighting and decorating contest in December; it’s open to those living within the Knoxville city limits, and anyone wishing to enter should sign up in advance.
Participants must make sure their lights are on the weekend of December 15th and 16th between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. for judging; the top three selections will each receive a cash prize from the Garden Club.
To sign up, you should call 842-2858 between now and December 10th; you’ll have to provide your name, address and phone number.
